Southend Scout and Guide Gang Show is a local community group which encourages Scouts and Guides from the Southend, Crouch Valley and Castle Point area to sing, dance and act in a variety show held every two years at the Palace Theatre. 

Southend Gang Show aspires to be:

• seen as excellence in local entertainment
• acknowledged as one of the best Gang Shows in the UK (not the biggest)
• innovative and original - the show others attend to get their ideas 

With its first show performed in 1966, the Southend Gang Show is now a huge part of the Scouting and Guiding community in the Southend, Crouch Valley and Castle Point area. Currently performed at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff-on-Sea, it is a highlight of the districts Scouting and Guiding calender. Always bright, exciting, funny and entertaining, Southend Gang Show continues to go from strength to strength. 

The over 100 strong cast all singing, dancing and acting, the colourful scenery, the wide variety of imaginative costumes and the brilliant music played by the band. All these things and more create Southend Gang Show. 

You can't describe it until you've experienced it, so make sure you come and watch our next show. You don't have to be involved in Scouting or Guiding to be part of the experience, come watch and enjoy!

Southend Gang Show host two show's on alternate years, our main show 'It's a Date' is a variety show held at the Palace Theatre every two years. Our second show is 'SHINDIGS', this is a Gang Show in a day giving Scouts and Guides the opportunity to experience what the full 'It's a Date' show is like. 

Southend Gang Show is open to Guides and Senior Section members from the following divisions: Southend East, Southend West, Rayleigh and Castle Point. 

The show is open to the Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Network members from the following districts: Southend West, Southend Estuary, Crouch Valley and Castle Point. 

Our next show will be It's a Date 2024, taking place at the Palace Theatre from 21st - 24th February 2024.
