If you're involved in Scouting or Guiding in the Southend, Rayleigh, Castle Point or Crouch Valley area then you can become part of Southend Gang Show. Whether you're an adult volunteer or young person you can join in. 

Southend Gang Show is open to Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Network members, Young Leaders and Leaders from the following districts: Southend West, Southend Estuary, Crouch Valley and Castle Point. 

Southend Gang Show is open to Guides, Rangers, Young Leaders and Leaders from the following divisions: Southend East, Southend West, Rayleigh and Castle Point. 

Within Southend Gang Show, we have two shows in which you can participate:

It's a Date

What we're best known for! It's a Date is a bi-annual variety show performed at the Palace Theatre in February. Our next It's a Date will take place in February 2024. Our week-long show gives young people the chance to be part of a real stage show, make new friends, perform on stage and have fun! 

To audition for the cast of It's a Date you need to be in Year 8 or above and under the age of 26 by the time of the show.

Sign ups for It's a Date 2024 have now closed. You can join our mailing list here to find out when sign ups will reopen. It's a Date 2024 will return to the Palace Theatre on 21st - 24th February 2024.

SHINDIGS

Standing for SHow IN a Day In Guiding and Scouting, SHINDIGS is a fast paced, action packed day where Scouts and Guides from the Southend, Castle Point and Crouch Valley area come together to put on a Gang Show in a day. 

The next SHINDIGS will take place in March 2025. Keep an eye out for applications in late 2024!

Joining the Crew!

If you are interested in becoming an adult volunteer for Southend Gang Show or It's a Knockout please apply to join Southend Gang Show Active Support Unit (ASU). 

The Southend Gang Show ASU manage the administration for all adult volunteers involved with Southend Gang Show and It's a Knockout events. It is free to join as long as you are over 18 (or 16 for It's a Knockout only).
