Southend Scout and Guide Gang Show returns! Scouts and Guides from Southend, Rayleigh, Crouch Valley and Castle Point area are being encouraged to sign up for It's a Date 2022 now!

Scouts and Guides from Southend, Rayleigh, Castle Point and Crouch Valley are invited to sign up to participate in It’s a Date 2022. The bi-annual variety show will return to the Palace Theatre next February and the Gang Show is looking for active Scouts and Guides to sign up as cast and band members, ready to wow audiences.

The Gang Show has become a centrepiece of the Scouting and Guiding calendar and always puts on a show to impress. The show gives young people the chance to sing, dance and act in front of a live theatre audience whilst also providing the opportunity for the young people to learn, develop and make new friends. No previous theatre experience is necessary just buckets of enthusiasm!

Those Scouts, Guides, Explorers, Rangers, Network members, Young Leaders and Leaders interested in participating are invited to sign up and attend our ‘Come and Try Day’ on Sunday 12th September 2021 in Southend. Young people interested in joining the cast must be in Year 8 or above and under the age of 26 by February 2022 and be prepared to give their all for the famous variety show.

Southend Scout and Guide Gang Show are also looking for younger members of Scouting and Guiding who are in Year 6 or 7 and want to be a part of the It’s a Date 2022 Junior Gang! All those interested can sign up via the button below!

The show is open to Scouts, Explorers, Network members, Young Leaders and Leaders from the following districts: Southend West, Southend Estuary, Crouch Valley and Castle Point. 

The show is open to Guides, Rangers, Young Leaders and Leaders from the following divisions: Southend East, Southend West, Rayleigh and Castle Point. 

All Main & Junior Gang cast are invited to attend the ‘Come and Try Day’ on Sunday 12th September 2021 and can sign up via the button below!

Rehearsals start in September 2021, for the show which takes place at the Palace Theatre from the 16th – 19th February 2022 (February half term).

Rehearsals for the main gang will take place on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons and for Junior Gang, on Sunday afternoons.
